Donald Asa has touched every aspect of the trucking industry in his more than 60-year career - from sitting behind the wheel, to maintaining heavy equipment, to training and supervising truck drivers, to examining the scene of an accident, and even to consulting and testifying regarding truck accident court cases. Don’s experience has helped him shape training manuals and helped him to develop drivers into true professionals.

Don began his career as a truck driver and drove for more than 45 years. While still driving, he owned and operated SOS Big Rig Driver Training School in Phoenix, Arizona. He also served for 56 years in part as a safety consultant for Bashas' Incorporated, and as safety supervisor at Western Produce Company, a Division of Bashas’ which is a major Arizona-based grocery chain. With this experience he has gained comprehensive knowledge of driver training, driving issues, and compliance.

As Don accumulated knowledge and expertise through his various roles in the trucking industry, he founded D&A Consultants, Inc. a firm consulting in the areas concerning tractor-trailer and heavy equipment accidents. D&A Consultants has been in business since 1983. Don's truck accident consulting experience began in 1971.

Don put his knowledge and experience on paper with a series of books, pamphlets, audio CDs and videos available to safety managers, trucking company owners, and truckers through his trucking education company TrukSafe America, Inc.
